Lauluntekijäyhdistys Kertsi ry:n juhlaklubi: Miljoonasade duo, Nina Kaitaranta, FER

Ten years ago, Heikki Salo had an idea: songwriters need a low-threshold community where they can network, share ideas and perform songs that have been sitting in the drawer. So, in 2016, an association was founded — and what a success it has been! Kertsi has now been a home base for both amateur and professional songwriters for ten years, supporting them in their work. Now it’s time to celebrate!

The anniversary club’s menu features a generous selection of beloved hits and new voices. So be prepared to sing along, be refreshed by fresh ideas, get moved, and discover new favourites!

As an appetizer, we’ll hear from a new generation of Tampere-based songwriters, as the stage welcomes the hidden gem of Finnish rock, Nina Kaitaranta, and FER!, a soulful new voice in alternative pop.

The evening’s main act is, fittingly, Miljoonasade duo, who have been honing their live performance skills on their 40th-anniversary tour this autumn! Heikki Salo and Tomi Aholainen are a duo who, over the decades, have become as inseparably intertwined in Miljoonasade as crows against a November sky. They transform the gems of the band’s catalogue and Heikki’s solo work into an entirely new musical experience. This is a dish that only gets better with age!

And that’s not all! Dessert will round off the celebrations on the Uudet Äänet showcase stage, featuring Kertsi’s member artists. Five exciting performers, fresh perspectives and songs you may well be hearing a lot more about in the future are in store.
