Kaseva is a legendary Finnish pop rock band known for its delicate music and rich vocal harmonies.
The band’s numerous hits (“Mari,” “Vanha mies,” “Tyhjää,” “Striptease-tanssija,” “Pena,” “Kun maailma elää,” etc.) have been part of our national memory ever since 1974.
Kaseva’s first active period spanned the years 1974–1986, and in the early 2000s the band reunited to perform in concert halls and clubs around Finland.
After a quiet spell in the new decade, Kaseva returned to the stage again in late 2015. More recently, with the personal approval of the band’s original vocalist Mikko Jokela, Matti Mikkonen—the son of Popeda’s original guitarist Arwo Mikkonen—has joined the group in Mikko’s place.
Kaseva’s classic songs live on, and the band’s signature sensitivity and charisma have only deepened over the years. Their audience now spans three generations.
