These are songs that have been part of Europe’s musical memory for decades. Now, for the firsttime in Finland, they will be performed in a special Italian musical concert show dedicated to the work of Maestro Toto Cutugno.

On 26 September 2026 at 7:00 PM, the European premiere of “Toto Cutugno: The Greatest Italian Hits Live” will come to Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, performed by L’Italiano Orchestra from Italy — an ensemble officially approved by Toto Cutugno’s family.

This is not just a concert of Italian songs. It is an evening that takes the audience back to a time when Italian music was filled with elegance, melody, sunshine and emotions that cannot be imitated. The atmosphere of the Sanremo Festival, grand orchestras, timeless refrains and songs known by entire generations — all of this will come alive in Helsinki for one unforgettable evening.

For Finnish audiences, Toto Cutugno’s music also has a special meaning. The melody of his world-famous song “L’Italiano” is also known in Finland through Kari Tapio’s beloved version “Olen suomalainen”. That is why this concert is not only a journey into Italian music, but also a connection to a song that has taken on its own life and place in the hearts of Finnish listeners. Toto Cutugno was much more than the performer of one legendary hit. He was a composer, songwriter and one of the most important figures in Italian pop music. His melodies have been performed by Joe Dassin, Dalida, Adriano Celentano, Mireille Mathieu, Ricchi e Poveri and many other great names of the European stage.

Cutugno composed the music for such famous Joe Dassin songs as “Et si tu n’existais pas”, “Salut” and “L’Été indien”. He collaborated with Adriano Celentano, won the Sanremo Festival, celebrated victory at the Eurovision Song Contest and left behind a repertoire that continues to move listeners to this day. Now his music returns to the stage in a form that preserves the spirit of the original — with Italian sensitivity, live sound and respect for the melodies, arrangements and emotions created by the Maestro himself.

L’Italiano Orchestra will present a two-hour musical concert show in which Toto Cutugno’s greatest songs will be performed live by Italian soloists and musicians.
