Herra Ylppö’s new band is succinctly named Herra Ylppö. It is a heavy rock outfit that will be heard both live and on record in the future. The band features Herra Ylppö (vocals), Hamid Moeini (electric guitar), Kaisa Y (electronics and vocals), and J. Savolainen (percussion), who previously played with Ylppö in his band Maj Karma.
Herra Ylppö is currently in the studio recording a new album set for release in 2026. The acclaimed single “Hyvästi yö” (“Goodbye Night”) has already been released from the upcoming album.
“Whereas the previous band IHMISET represented a more pop-oriented approach, this new group steps firmly into the realm of heavy rock, enhanced with electronic shades while retaining the primal force of guitar-driven rock,” says Ylppö, whose last new music was released in 2020.
The evening is opened by Pori based rock band Serpico.
