Fatboy celebrates 30 years – new album and tour launch in 2026!
Swedish rockabilly royalty FATBOY will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2026. Founded in 1996, the band is known for its uncompromising energy, tight ensemble playing, and its ability to create genuine rock’n’roll magic on stage.
The band’s strength lies in its close-knit chemistry: the musicians trust each other completely, allowing for spontaneous and vibrant musical expression. It is in these moments that the unique grooves and atmospheres are born—elements that have made FATBOY a highly respected live act.
To mark the anniversary year, FATBOY will head into the studio at Easter 2026 to record their 30th anniversary album. Singles from the upcoming release will be unveiled during the spring.
Over the years, the band has continued to evolve, refining its ability to capture the most magical moments of rock’n’roll.
FATBOY’s music has aptly been described as “progressive rockabilly in a minor key.” The band stands out in its genre through its constant curiosity toward new music, while maintaining a strong connection to its roots.
This time, the band has found new inspiration in the addition of Thomas “Kakan” Schuldt to the lineup. Hailing from Eskilstuna, Schuldt was previously known from the front row of the band’s gigs, but has now taken the stage as a full member. His energy and passion have brought fresh momentum to the entire group.
– He absolutely radiates energy and has truly ignited the rest of us, says Thomas Pareigis, who is eagerly looking forward to returning to the stage.
– FATBOY is an essential part of all our lives, and we can’t wait to perform new songs with this incredible band.
