Anssi Tikanmäen Orkesteri: Maisemakuvia ja elokuvia Suomesta
The Anssi Tikanmäki in Memorian ensemble will present the beloved music of Anssi Tikanmäki at G Livelab in June.
Anssi Tikanmäki’s (1955–2024) album Maisemakuvia Suomesta, released in 1981, is the first and only Finnish instrumental album in popular music to have officially surpassed the gold record threshold. The album includes, among others, the pieces Aamu Lakeuksilla, Lapin Tunturit and Kiutaköngäs.
At G Livelab Tampere, the concert program of Anssi Tikanmäen Orkesteri features, alongside the legendary Maisemakuvia Suomesta compositions, newer works created around the same theme, as well as music composed by Tikanmäki for films directed by Aki Kaurismäki and Mika Kaurismäki.
