| The awards for black rythm music, The Funky Awards, is celebrating their 10th anniversary at Tavastia in Helsinki on january 29th 2010.

Funky Awards 2009 brings a set of funky, reggae, soul and rap music to the stage. Performing at Tavastia that evening are The Orgones (by such artists as Kalevi Louhivuori, Petteri Sariola and Osmo Ikonen) and Funky Allstars with beatbox artist Felix Zenger, Tommi Lindgren (known also from Don Johnson Big Band), Teppo "Teddy Rock" Mäkynen, Janna, Abdissa "Mamba" Assefa and other familier faces from this genre. The finnish reggae artist Jukka Poika will bring some reggae and dub to the festivities with one of his bands Kapteeni Ä-ni.
