DDT JAZZBAND LIVE AT ON THE ROCKS IN MAY
DDT Jazzband or Downtown Dixie Tigers have since 1958 been one of Finland's most important heralds of swing, Dixieland, blues and New Orleans jazz music. The band is Finland's oldest and most well-known in its genre. DDT has seen decades and anniversaries come and go, always remaining true to the swing and musical joy.
The line-up of DDT Jazzband has remained very stable throughout the decades. DDT's musical style is a combination of traditional jazz and swing era influences as well as the revival of traditional New Orleans jazz that arose in the 1940s and 50s. The extensive repertoire includes e.g. compositions by Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington.
During the band breaks the Tuesday Night Hop DJs will keep the dance floor swinging.
