The
first Visigoth Metalfest in history will be held in both Tampere and
Helsinki. 4 great bands will be on stage: Thyrfing (SWE), Verikalpa,
Midjungards and Pahan Ikoni.
The main performer of the event is
Thyrfing, a pioneer known for Viking metal bands and influential for
three decades. Thyrfing started in 1995 in the Stockholm underground and
soon developed into one of the most significant bands of the pagan
metal scene. The band's eighth and first album in eight years
"Vanagandr" was released in August 2021.
Have you ever wondered
what a funkier and drunker version of Finntroll would sound like, or
that it would be cool to listen to Korpiklan, Ensiferum and Finntroll at
the same time? If you answered yes to any of these, here comes
Verikalpa. Verikalpa has released 3 studio albums so far -
Taistelutahto, Tuoppitanssi and Tunturihauta - and they are called one
of the biggest folk metal bands in Finland. Forward with snarling goblin
metal and the sound of knocks! Don't miss this chance to see them warm
up the boards for the legendary Thyrfing.
Midjungards is a pagan
metal band from Helsinki, inspired by the ancient goths. The band will
release their first album in March 2023. The album's first single
'Hordes Of Hate' has been very successful and has collected 10,000 views
in just 3 weeks. All signs point to Midjungards becoming a huge band
very quickly. Don't miss this opportunity to see the band before they
take off!
Pahan Ikoni is a trash/death metal band from Helsinki,
whose mind-blowing Finnish lyrics, diamond-hard guitar riffs and
steel-hard live performance will hit your senses!
The band recently
released their debut album "Ikonoklasti" behind them more than 50 gigs
in different parts of Finland, e.g. In Tuska and Nummirock.
