Viikate will release the Korttitalo single on Friday 31.5. The song is the first cut from the band's fifteenth album, which will be released in November.
The soloist Kaarle Viikate, who was contacted by the pollen blower, comments on the subject as follows:
"Korttitalo represents the new album's airier and more upbeat offering, than enjoying the iron wire chattara in the whirlwinds of a gothic carousel.
However, the main focus on the album will be on quieter, slower and beautifully dragging songs. This is why the album, which will be released on the first day of November, is called "Hiljainen".
Another reason for the quieter atmosphere is that now, for the first time, the album tour can go to places where you can play with moderate decibels but with dedication. There will be music in theater milieu as well as in concert halls and intimate clubs. At the same time, songs that have not been performed live before in Viikatte's history can be added to the set list.
