The on-going tour has gathered nothing but praise and Tuska-Organization is ecstatic to have Dimmu Borgir as the first announcement of the 2019 line-up.
AMORPHIS - QUEEN OF TIME SPECIAL FEAT. ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN
Amorphis hit the jackpot with their current Queen Of Time album. Venues have been packed all over and the band's show has taken a leap into new dimensions. Therefore, we are proud to announce that Amorphis are the headliners for Friday June 28th!
At Tuska, Amorphis turns it up one louder, as they perform the new "Queen Of Time"-album in its entirety. This of course includes the appearance by the amazing Anneke Van Giersbergen. Queen Of Time Special show can only be seen at Tuska and Provinssi at Seinäjoki.
Norway's black n' roll comet Kvelertak are back at Tuska with a new singer. The going has only gotten tougher.
Heilung is an experimental folk experiece, amplified history from early medieval northern Europe. Heilung's live-performance is something that everyone should see and feel.
TUSKA ADOPTS 18 YEAR AGE-LIMIT
Tuska has originally been an all-ages festival, but 2019 will be the first edition that will have the age limit of 18 years for all customers. Festival Director Eeka Mäkynen comments: "This is a big change and it will enable us to provide a much improved festival experience for the over 18 crowd. In reality, we are able to get rid of bar areas, making it more convenient getting around with your drink and enjoy the festival with less restrictions.
Tuska has been one of the last fortresses for the bar areas, due to under age festival goers. Unfortunately the number of under-age people buying tickets has decreased every year, and in 2018 there were less than 100 kids. This number does not justify the expenses of having under-aged people at the festival anymore, and when on the other end of the spectrum there are the opportunities this brings to improve the festival experience for everyone else, doing this is a no-brainer. To balance this out, children are welcome to "TinyTuska", where all 3-day and Sunday ticket holders can bring a 0-10 year old future citizen of metal to feel the metal festival vibes on Sunday afternoon.
"Tiny Tuska" offers plenty of entertainment for children in the form of "Tiny Tuska", which takes place on Sunday June 30th between 14:00 - 17:00 on Tuska festival grounds at Suvilahti. "Tiny Tuska" is a brand new concept where all three-day ticket as well as any Sunday-option Tuska ticket holders can bring a child between the ages of 0-10 years to get familiar with the metal festival atmosphere. After 17:00 festival program will continue with content suitable only for adults.
Age limit: 18+
Max 6 tickets per customer.
Both 3 day and 2 day tickets will be exchanged to wristbands, which allow you to leave and re-enter the festival area during the festival day.
With 1 day ticket, entry only once a day. More info about wristband exchange closer to festival date.
