Olmeulmad’s Sanctum Textum is a choreographic installation, a nomadic soundscape, pivoting around a sculptural abstraction comprised of the movement and vocals of four performers.
Sanctum textum [sacred body web] represents both a heavenly state and the earthly material of being. The movement forms an optic adventure, ever redefining itself; creating mysterious figures, with no definites between one body and another. It is a pilgrimage of the contemporary body, combining four performers into a human-puzzle, reaching for perfection. The entire performance takes place on a strictly limited space, creating a challenge that in turn is a pillar of the principal choreographic-sculptural idea. By researching structure and togetherness through touch, a living and breathing sacred matrix is born, from bodies totally submitted to togetherness.
Each performance of the piece takes place in a new venue.
