Welcome to Vaahteramäki at Raahe Theatre!
Astrid Lindgren’s beloved Emil of Lönneberga is up to his usual mischief this summer at Raahe Theatre’s outdoor stage. This timeless, heartwarming, and joyful story of the charming prankster Emil and the wonderful family life at Katthult is brought to life with a delightful musical touch.
Come and experience Emil’s many pranks, find out if the love-struck maid Liina will win over the farmhand Aatu, see if the feared typhoid fever reaches Katthult, and witness Miss Lola and her terrifying full beard! And the big question—will Emil manage to outrun his father to the woodshed after each prank?
The play is directed by Sari Jaatinen, with choreography by Oulu-based Elina Tähtelä and musical rehearsals led by Anne-Maria Tokola.
