Pete Roth Trio, which breaks the boundaries of the traditional guitar trio format, will be performing in Finland for the first time this autumn

German-born guitarist Pete Roth has assembled a lineup that is full of vision and experience. The band will be joined by drum legend Bill Bruford, who has already wrapped up his career once, and whose majestic playing has been enjoyed over the years with, among others, King Crimson, Yes and Allan Holdsworth. As well as London-based producer and bassist Mike Pratt, who has a diverse funk and fusion background.
Pete Roth Trio will play their own material from Roth and Bruford as well as a wide range of selected borrowings, striving to create innovative interpretations beyond traditional jazz conventions. Roth's original compositions, such as the "Dancing with Grace" trio collaborations "Trioin Five" and "Looking Forward to Looking Back" or their reinterpretation of Anton Dvorak's "Largo from Symphony #9", offer a few examples of the Pete Roth Trio's creative sonic landscape - a world that will likely change your view of what the guitar trio format can achieve.
