American harpist and composer Mary Lattimore presents "Goodbye, Hotel Arkada," her latest LP inspired by the impending renovation of a beloved hotel in Croatia. Through six sprawling pieces, Lattimore explores themes of universal loss and the ephemeral nature of life. Collaborating with artists such as Lol Tolhurst (The Cure) and Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), Lattimore's music is refined yet emotionally resonant, rooted in improvisation. Reflecting on the album's title, Lattimore recalls the charm of Hotel Arkada and the inevitability of change, inspiring her to memorialize its essence through music.
The evening is opened by Lau Nau, whose music moves on the borders of electroacoustic experimentation and songwriting.
