The legendary Leningrad Cowboys are making a comeback and will tour Finland after a twelve-year hiatus. However, Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine has led to changes in the band's name and the lineup of their major concerts, with the band's new name being LC Cowboys and the Harlem Angels as the backing choir.
Leningrad Cowboys were founded in 1987 and rose to Finnish music history with their performances with the Red Army Choir in the early 1990s. Before going on hiatus in 2013, Leningrad Cowboys performed in over sixty countries with numerous concerts.
On the comeback tour named "Tis is tö komepäk," the LC Cowboys lineup includes, among others, Sakke Järvenpää, Pauli Hauta-Aho, Okke Komulainen, Sami Järvinen, Aino Laakso, Hanna Moisala, Esa Niiva, Anna Sainila, Ville Tuomi, Timo Tolonen, Tume Uusitalo, and Varre Vartiainen.
