It has been a long pause but now we will be back with a concert in the old wooden church in Houtskari. Blues and gospel were developed under the 19 th century by the Afro-Americans cherishing the tradition of sacred songs. Negrospirituals lay in the background. Gospel is often sung by a choir or accompanied by a bluesguitar. In this concert we will hear simplified instrumental blues-gospel, played with a clarinet and an organ. Fred Andersson has been playing the clarinet in the DDT-Jazzband since 1958 and he is specialized as an interpreter of the traditional jazz. Ilkka Joronen is an all-round pianist mastering almost all genres of music.
