Korpo Sea Jazz 2023 ends with Saturday night's program. We get to hear the outstanding vocalist Nina Mya and the guitar virtuoso Varre Vartiainen and their respective bands. The main concert is held in the beautiful surroundings of Archipelago Center Korpoström.
The main concert is opened by Varre Vartiainen Almost Standards Acoustic Live, who serve jazz with a rocking attitude. In the band put together by Varre Vartiainen, the biggest names in Finnish jazz play Vartiainen's compositions, which show the versatile skills of the players and a swinging and energetic mood.
As the second performer of the evening, the festival's artistic director Nina Mya and her band will enter the stage. We will hear songs from the soul jazz-inspired album “Just Another Lonely Soul”, released in 2021, as well as other compositions in which her technical talent and dark-toned voice shine.
After
the main concert, jazz lovers have time to enjoy a delicious buffet before the
jam session that ends the festival. The buffet dinner is available only for
those who order in advance.
