IITTI MUSIC FESTIVAL JUNE 11–14, 2025
Welcome to the Iitti Music Festival 2025! Year after year, the music festival features both domestic and international music professionals and rising stars; soloists, orchestras, conductors, and guest composers. This year too, a group of top artists will arrive in Iitti. Expect premieres, romance as well as surprises.
The concert series will be opened by the Finnish rock and schlager music legend, Pepe Willberg. He will perform his beloved songs at the Verla Mill Museum in Jaala.
At the music festival, the world premieres of David Chaillou's and Michel Runtzin's works for violin and piano will be heard. At the children's concert, the children's ensemble Leijonapartio by Helsinki Police Symphonic Band will perform with the Festival Orchestra, narrated by actor Tom Pöysti. The full Symphonic Band will also be heard under the direction of conductor Sam Ruusuvuori, with soloist Konsta Hietanen, known as an actor, singer, and football player. In addition, some blues-jazz will be heard at Radalla Resort as the veteran trio Jukka Orma, Mikko Löytty and Harri Ala-Kojola take the stage.
The soloists for Saturday's church concert and the night concert at Hiidenvuori are soprano Olga Heikkilä and baritone Gabriel Kivivuori Sereno. Both have quickly established themselves among the promising young talents in the music world. Other artists at the Music Festival include Tuomas Rousi (violin), Juhani Lagerspetz (piano), Laura Hynninen (harp), Asko Heiskanen (clarinet), and the heart of the festival, artistic director and pianist Laura Mikkola.
