Hämeen keskiaikafestivaali 2024 - TICKETS & INFO

The Häme Medieval Festival ( Hämeen Keskiaikafestivaali in Finnish) takes over the August nights and Hämeenlinna Castle Park!

The Häme Medieval Festival on August 16-18, 2024, is a magical, unique, and comprehensive historical event. A vast medieval village is built in Hämeenlinna Castle Park, by the beautiful shores of Lake Vanajavesi, next to the historic castle. We are Finland's only medieval festival with over 25 years of tradition as a historical-themed event.

Everyone is welcome – friends, families, groups, colleagues, enthusiasts, and anyone who loves festivals.

The admission ticket includes more than you can imagine. In the audience, you'll encounter performers, troubadours, or come across acrobats. Historical camps are part of your fascinating experience. You can follow the life of the campers and, for a moment, be a part of history yourself. In the Castle Park, you'll find an impressive warhorse camp and dueling Vikings. Additionally, you can witness intense buhurt battles. In the Pagan Forest, you can explore medieval witchcraft. The Children's Village offers fun, games, and adorable farm animals.

Throughout the day, domestic and international orchestras take the stage in the tavern. In medieval times, people enjoyed delicacies and spent evenings indulging in feasts and drinks. As night falls, the atmosphere rises, and the fun intensifies in the Tavern Yard with music and dance. The festival ticket entitles you to shop in the extensive market area and explore medieval craft demonstrations.

In addition to all this, with the same ticket, you can explore the magnificent medieval castle in Häme and the unique Prison, now functioning as a museum.

If this is not enough, you can add more excitement to your visit with a Fire Show and Horse Tournaments on either Friday or Saturday. Or you can participate in grand feasts in the stunning medieval castle. For these, you'll need separate tickets in addition to the admission ticket.

Forget about everyday life and immerse yourself in the Middle Ages!
