Espoo Big Band feat. Marika Tuhkala & Sami Pitkämö - Merry, Merry Christmas
Espoo Big Band, led by Marzi Nyman, will release a Christmas record
including groovy arrangements of familiar Christmas songs. At G Livelab
Tampere the orchestra will perform these songs together with singer
stars Marika Tuhkala and Sami Pitkämö!
In addition to Tuhkala and
Pitkämö, the record also features Maria Ylipää and Maarit Hurmerinta as
well as Grammy nominated singers Kurt Elling and Ruthie Foster and
saxophonist Lenny Pickett, known for Tower of Power and Saturday Night
Live.
Sami Pitkämö has become known as a singer, musician and
conductor for many TV programs such as Dancing with the Stars. Espoo Big
Band (EBB), one of the most popular Finnish jazz orchestras, just
turned 40 in 2020.
