“The Queen of Slide Guitar” Erja Lyytinen is a multi-award-winning guitarist. In recent times Lyytinen was ranked #2 on Total Guitar´s “World´s Best Guitarists Now” poll as well as being recognised as “Guitarist of the Year” at the European Blues Awards. In 2021, the artist was proudly inducted into the Finnish Music Hall of Fame. In 2022 Lyytinen got her own star in the Finnish Music’s Walk of Fame.
Lyytinen’s musical pallet is vast, encompassing the very best of contemporary blues-rock whilst inspired and influenced by the blues greats of yore. “She´s the future,” proclaimed Carlos Santana when he asked Erja to join him on stage in front of 20,000 people at Kaisaniemi Park, Finland. Her latest, self produced studio album ”Waiting for the Daylight” was published in October 2022 with rave reviews.
