The highly regarded artist and producer DJ Kridlokk aka Kristo Laanti released his long-awaited new album Hai in April. The album, composed, written and produced entirely by Kridlokk, has been widely hailed as a new masterpiece of Finnish rap.
Laanto worked on the album for four years, mostly inside his own head, bouncing back and forth, hanging out in the marinas and shorelines of Eastern Helsinki. "The environment affects thinking and solitary thinking easily becomes messy and distorted. In the end, I noticed that almost all of my ideas contain some kind of reflection on loneliness and the thinking and observations colored by it."
