This year Tiketti is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Today the company has taken a new step in its social media stragedy: Tiketti is the first Finnish brand to communicate with its clients with a Yo application. Around the world, the app has been adopted by companies like MTV, NBA, Buzzfeed, Comedy Central, Mashable, BBC, Lonely Planet, Huffington Post, CBS, Capitol Records and others.
Yo was published in April 2014. Nowadays it has around 3,3 million users. The app’s idea is simple and fun: the users can send each other only the word “Yo”. Yo's newest development is that companies can add links or pictures to accompany their “Yo”. Tiketti wants to entertain Yo users with interesting news links of festival and concert announcements. The company plans also to tip off Yo folk when a ticket sale to a popular event begins or starts to come close to being sold out.
Tiketti is a ticket sales company that was formed in 1975. It is owned by its CEO Mirva Merimaa. The brand has been awarded as the Service Provider of the Year in Music & Media Awards Gala in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Last year Tiketti was also awarded as The Company of The Year in Enterprises in Helsinki Awards.
